GATE Program
The Arlene Hein Elementary Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program provides extra services to identified GATE students through classroom enrichment and extended day opportunities. The GATE program is designed to serve students who have been referred by teachers or parents and are found to be eligible because of:
- high achievement;
- leadership ability;
- creative ability;
- talent in visual and performing arts;
- intellectual development; or
- specific area achievement.
Students are identified for GATE beginning in the third grade. Participation in GATE programs is voluntary for identified GATE students. Please see your child’s teacher or our GATE coordinator for more information.
